Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to hold bilateral meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on September 11, followed by a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on September 12 on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit, people familiar with the matter said. Modi had met Putin and Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit in Kyrgyzstan on August 31. Xi’s visit to India will be his first in seven years, with the India-China relationship having faced a major setback following the military standoff in Ladakh.
