Congress leader Rahul Gandhi heads to Lakhimpur Kheri despite being denied permission by the UP govt. "Will be visiting Lakhimpur Kheri with 2 chief ministers today. We are 3 people going. Section 144 stops 5 people or more from going," he said. "Farmers' rights are being systematically robbed, which is why they are protesting," he added. The Congress leader further said, "The opposition's job is to create pressure so that action is taken. If we had not gone to Hathras, the culprits would have gone scot free. Today there is only dictatorship. No democracy in India. We are visiting Lakhimpur Kheri to understand the situation and support farmers."
