Watch: Doctor-turned-minister helps passenger in plane, gets PM Modi's praise

Union Minister Bhagwat Karad helped a co-passenger who was feeling uneasy mid-air. The incident, onboard a Delhi-Mumbai IndiGo flight, took place on Tuesday. Taking to Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the minister's 'great gesture’. Karad is a paediatrician by qualification and currently serves as a Minister of State. A statement from the minister's office said the passenger complained of giddiness. The statement added that Karad helped stabilise the passenger after he fell down. The Indigo airline also offered its gratitude and sincere appreciation to the minister. It said his voluntary support for helping out a fellow passenger is ever so inspiring.
