Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat has warned of emerging technological and drone threats to India and called for strengthening cyber security of the country. The CDS was addressing 14th Hacking and Cyber security Briefing ‘C0c0n’ hosted by Kerala Police during which he revealed that there has been an 500 percent increase in cyber crimes during pandemic period in India. He also warned of the threat posed by nation states who launch cyber attacks at their opponents. The CDS said that the IT Act 2000 needs to be amended in 2008 need to be updated further, putting in place cyber security standards. Watch this video for more.
