- A day before West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee's arrest in connection to the teachers recruitment scam in state government schools, the Enforcement Directorate recovered cash amounting to approximately ₹20 crores from the residential premises of Arpita Mukherjee, who the ED called a close associate of the senior TMC leader. An actor and model, Arpita was also the face of promotional campaigns for Partha Chatterjee’s Durga Puja committee called the Naktala Udayan Sangha in 2019 and 2020.
