Foreign envoys praise new Kushinagar international airport at PM Modi's event

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a new international airport at Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh. The location is a key Buddhist pilgrimate spot. A grand event was organised in the poll-bound state with even foreign diplomats in attendance. A Sri Lankan delegation led by minister Namal Rajapaksa became the first group to arrive at the new facility. Ambassadors of Thailand and Vietnam hailed the move as a tourism booster.
