An American Airlines flight traveling from New York to New Delhi was diverted over the Caspian Sea on Sunday and landed in Rome. American Airlines flight AA292 from New York to Delhi was diverted to Rome. According to the flight status on American Airlines' website, flight AA 292 departed from New York's JFK Airport at 8.14 pm on February 22 and landed at Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport in Rome around 5:30 pm local time.
