Ever since Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7, and the latter's military response in Gaza, Iran has been issuing warnings against the Jewish nation. This has sparked fears of a wider war gripping the Middle East, and destabilising much of the world. Against this backdrop, the former Speaker of the Iranian Parliament has made a big claim. In an interview, Gholam Ali Haddad Adel said that Israel was trying to expand the war, and drag USA and Iran into a direct military confrontation.
