Legendary athlete Milkha Singh is India's first athlete to win gold at the Commonwealth Games . He won the gold in the 440 yards race at the 1958 Cardiff games. Known as the 'Flying Sikh', his historic win changed the face of Indian sports. Travelling back in time, Milkha Singh shared with HT his memories of 1958, how the local media in Wales covered his win and his expectations from Indian sports persons at the Gold Coast Games.
