Owaisi gets Z security cover after attack on convoy in UP; All you need to know

• A day after Asaduddin Owaisi's convoy was attacked in Uttar Pradesh while he was returning to Delhi from Meerut, the AIMIM Chief has now been provided with Z security cover. Under this, Owaisi will now be guarded by at least 22 CRPF men. "Speaker called me and asked about my well being. I'll talk to Speaker today," said the Lok Sabha MP. The decision comes after uproar over the attack in the election-bound state. Owaisi is now set to raise the issue in Parliament after AIMIM Leader Imtiaz Jaleel brought it to the notice of Lok Sabha during the motion of thanks to the President’s address on Thursday. Owaisi claimed that 3-4 shots were fired at his car and other vehicles of his convoy at a toll plaza near Hapur. The Uttar Pradesh police has now arrested 2 men in connection to the case and seized the pistol and car belonging to them. The police claimed that as per initial investigation, the attackers opened fire at Owaisi's vehicles because they were upset by his anti-Hindu sentiment.
