PM Modi's gifts for G7 leaders; Kashmiri Carpet, Ram Durbar, Zardozi Box & more

  • In a special gesture, PM Narendra Modi took special gifts for the G7 leaders during his 2-day visit to Germany for the summit. His gifts included a hand-knotted carpet, carved matka, itr bottles, tea set, brooch and cufflinks. They displayed the country's rich art and crafts, particularly those related to Uttar Pradesh's 'one district one product' scheme. While UK PM Boris Johnson got a platinum-painted, hand-painted tea set from Bulandhshahr, he gifted Gulabi Meenakari brooch and cufflink set to U.S. President Joe Biden. PM Modi gifted a Metal Marodi carving matka to German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz. To French President Emmanuel Macron, PM Modi gifted 'ittar' bottles in Zardozi box.
