Pragyan Scores 'Century' On Moon Surface; Here Is What Will Happen Next As Lunar Night Approaches

In a milestone, the Pragyan rover has completed traversing more than 100 metres on the moon's surface. Isro said in a tweet that Pragyan's instruments are continuing to send data. ISRO chief S. Somanath said that the Chandrayaan 3 mission is approaching the conclusion of its planned exploration period. ISRO is now preparing to initiate a "sleep mode" operation for the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover as the lunar night approaches, during which temperatures are expected to plummet below -200 degrees Celsius.
