Prophet remark row: Libya joins over 13 Islamic Nations to condemn Nupur Sharma

  • Libya is the latest Islamic country to join fury over remarks on Prophet by former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. Libyan Foreign Ministry in a statement called out the remarks and reiterated respect for all beliefs and religions. As per The Libyan Oberver report, the Libya Fatwa House also condemned the remarks and called for all Muslims to boycott India. Apart from Libya and the Gulf Cooperation Council, Qatar, Kuwait, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bahrain, the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Jordan, Indonesia and the Maldives have lodged protests against the remarks.
