Former India coach Ravi Shastri questioned Team India's decision to bench 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi during the Ireland T20I series, saying the teenage sensation should have made his debut. Shastri believes Sooryavanshi would have dominated Ireland's bowling attack and urged selectors to give him an opportunity as soon as possible.
