‘Russia cannot be ignored’: Putin aide hails Trump’s approach, says trilateral talks being prepared

A senior aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin has praised Donald Trump’s approach to engagement with Moscow, insisting that Russia cannot be ignored in global diplomacy. The remarks come amid reports that preparations are underway for possible trilateral talks involving Russia, the United States and China. Such a meeting could bring three major powers into the same diplomatic framework at a time of heightened geopolitical competition over security, trade and global influence. However, the reported preparations do not necessarily mean a summit has been confirmed. Could Trump’s push for engagement open a new chapter in relations between Washington, Moscow and Beijing?
