Farmers call off ‘march to Delhi’ amid Covid crisis, what next in farm agitation

  • As Covid cases continue to rise in India, the government has warned upcoming protests by farmers of Punjab and Haryana as a potential health risk. Farmers' protests against the farm bills started in 2020 when the Covid crisis was still prevailing. The protests saw massive numbers of farmers gathering at the borders of the national capital. Now, farmers have stirred a fresh alarm by calling for mass protests on Wednesday May 26.
