Indian Matchmaking creator Smriti Mundhra talks about growing up & finding love

• Filmmaker Smriti Mundhra first met Sima Taparia over 15 years ago, when she was considering signing up as a client. “I don’t know if you’re going to find me a husband,” she remembers saying to her, “but I know you’re going to be a star.” She was right. As the creator of the hit Netflix reality show Indian Matchmaking, Mundhra puts Taparia at front and centre, in a show that is both darkly funny and full of hard truths about how the Indian marriage market works.
