Modi govt moves to scrap retrospective tax law: Why now, why it's good

- In the latest edition of HT Insight, Hindustan Times' Editor-in-chief Sukumar Ranganathan decodes Modi government's decision of scrapping the retrospective tax law. The government had on Thursday introduced in the Lok Sabha the bill to scrap retrospective taxation that has spooked overseas investors and dented the reputation of Asia's third-largest economy. 'The Taxation Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2021' was passed by the Lok Sabha on Friday and is expected to be taken up by the Rajya Sabha next week. Watch the full video for more.
