ISIS, Taliban, Al Qaeda: Terror rivals or sinister partners?

The Kabul airport attack has exposed the reality of an Afghanistan ruled by an extremist group like the Taliban. The Khorasan affiliate of ISIS (Islamic State) claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing. The other major terror group reportedly active in Afghanistan is Al Qaeda. The three groups are believed to alternate between partnership and rivalry between each other. What does this mean for countries in the region, and global security in general?
