In its continuing bid to cool down raging inflation in the United States, at 9.1% in June, which is at a four-decade high, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates by 75 basis points on Wednesday. On Thursday, GDP estimates indicated that the U.S. economy contracted for two consecutive quarters, stirring concerns that the country is headed towards a recession. How is this global scenario going to affect India?
