Thai Schools Boost Security Drills After Fatal Shooting Amid Growing Safety Concerns

Schools in Bangkok and elsewhere have stepped up active-shooter drills following a recent shooting that killed at least eight people. The “run-hide-fight” exercises simulate an armed attack and teach students and staff how to respond during an emergency. The drills follow an August 10 directive from Thailand’s education ministry requiring schools to prepare security plans and rehearse emergency procedures.
