This NATO nation wants a UN security council seat & Finland's Stubb has a plan to rewrite its rules

Finnish President Alexander Stubb has called for sweeping reforms to the United Nations, arguing that the Security Council must better reflect the current global balance of power and give the Global South a stronger voice. Addressing the UN General Assembly, Stubb proposed five new permanent Security Council seats for Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America, changes to the veto system and a stronger role for the UN Secretary-General in global peace mediation.
