Olympics: India create history; women's hockey team stun Aussies to reach semis

India defeated Australia 1-0 to reach the semifinals in women’s hockey at the Tokyo Olympics. This will be India women's hockey team's first semifinal appearance in the Olympics. The Indian team dominated the game with 59% ball possession in the first quarter. Gurjit Kaur converted India’s first penalty corner of the match in the 22nd minute. India’s defence also put a stunning display to maintain the hard-earned lead. The India women hockey team’s historic victory exploded Twitter to life.
