Olympics: Manipur CM hails Mirabai Chanu's silver, announces ₹1 cr cash reward

Mirabai Chanu opened India's medals tally as she bagged silver in the Tokyo olympics. Union Home Minister Amit Shah & chief ministers of all eight Northeast states gave a standing ovation to Chanu. Manipur CM Biren Singh broke the news during the meeting chaired by Home Minister Shah in Meghalaya. Biren also announced a ₹1 crore package for the 26-year-old Manipur woman.
