The Congress Working Committee, or CWC - the highest decision-making body of the main Opposition party - met on August 19 after a stormy Monsoon Session of the Parliament. The CWC decided upon a host of headline-grabbing issues, including expanding its student outreach programme in light of the recent Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest, as well as deciding to not play the Vande Mataram in its entirety at party events.
