In FY24, India exported $8.7 billion (Rs76,113 crore) worth of pharmaceutical products to the US, while importing around $800 million worth from America, subject to a 10% Indian tariff. The US is India’s single largest market for pharma exports, accounting for over 31% of Indian pharma’s global shipments and nearly half of all generics consumed by Americans.
