President Donald Trump, speaking in the Oval Office, said the U.S. is “locked and loaded” and weighing a “massive” strike on Iran but stressed that Washington and Tehran are also “talking seriously,” describing two paths ahead: continuing and even intensifying military attacks to “take them apart piece by piece,” or reaching a deal that guarantees Iran “cannot have a nuclear weapon”; he refused to answer a question on whether blowing up civilian power plants and bridges would be a war crime, said he’s “not in a hurry” despite election pressures, and claimed that Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and others are engaged in ongoing contacts with Iran.
