In the wake of Udaipur police facing criticism for failing to avert the murder of tailor Kanhaiya Lal, Rajasthan government has transferred a total of 32 police officers, including the IG and SP of Udaipur. Udaipur Inspector General (IG) of Police, Hinglaj Dan and Superintendent of Police (SP) Manoj Kumar, have been sent to non-filed postings late on Thursday night. Hinglaj Dan has been sent to IG Civil rights. He is replaced by Praful Kumar, who was currently heading the SIT team constituted for this case. At the same time, SP Udaipur Manoj Kumar is sent to the second battalion of Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC) in Kota. He is replaced by Vikas Kumar.
