US Secretary of State Antony Blinken reportedly assured Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during their recent meeting in Jerusalem that all restrictions on weapons transfers to Israel would soon be lifted. According to an unsourced report from Channel 12 in Hebrew and Bild in German, Netanyahu demanded restoration of the frequency of US arms shipments to pre-October 7 levels, criticizing what he perceived as a reduction in US military support for the conflict against Hamas. Netanyahu argued that such a slowdown could benefit Iran and its regional proxies like Hamas and Hezbollah, potentially prolonging and expanding the conflict to new fronts.
