South china sea accident - In October, U.S. fast-attack submarine crashed into an underwater ridge. The crash left the USS Connecticut nuclear-powered sub unable to operate 'for an extended period of time'. The command investigation report released by the U.S. Navy stated the mishap could've been prevented.
