Vodafone wins ₹22,000 cr tax dispute against India: Wrap with Vikram Chandra

Vodafone has won a major international arbitration against the Indian government. The Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague awarded 4.3 million pound compensation to Vodafone and said government's demand of ₹22,100 crore as retrospective tax was “in breach of the guarantee of fair and equitable treatment.” Meanwhile, nationwide bandh was witnessed as farmers protested against the farm bills.
