Vikram Chandra on Yogi facing heat over Hathras gang-rape death, other stories

With the UP police cremating the Hathras gangrape victim in the dead of the night and reportedly without the consent of the girl's family, Opposition parties mounted attacked on CM Yogi Adityanath, who ordered a fast-track probe and trial in the case.  As the protests continued in parts of UP for the second running day, the under-fire BJP government offered money and job to the Dalit girl's family.
