Amid a debate and stiff opposition to the scheduled exams for the engineering and medical courses, UPA chief Sonia Gandhi held a virtual meeting with the chief ministers of seven states ruled by the opposition parties. Despite, SC ruling against the postponement of JEE and NEET, Trinamool chief asked all the CMs to join hands and petition the apex court in unison. Uproar over the government's decision to stick to the September date-sheet has become shriller as the number of Covid-19 infections continue to rise in the country.
