- The centre has reinstated former IAS officer Shah Faesal from Jammu and Kashmir, 3 years after he tendered resignation from government service. Shah Faesal is the first UPSC topper from Jammu and Kashmir and had resigned from service citing 'rising intolerance' in India. He then went on to float his own political party. He has now been allowed to join the government service and his name figures at serial number 35 on the list of IAS officers in J&K. In a series of tweets, Shah Faesal said that his idealism had let him down. Watch this video for more details.
