Why Pakistan Navy never ‘ventured out’ during Op Sindoor: Indian Navy Chief Dinesh Tripathi Explains
Published on Dec 02, 2025 02:05 pm IST
Indian Navy chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi said the Navy’s “aggressive posturing” during Operation Sindoor forced the Pakistan Navy to stay close to its ports and the Makran coast. He credited the deployment of the carrier battle group for maintaining maritime dominance during the brief conflict in May, following India’s deep strikes on terror infrastructure inside Pakistan on May 7. Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, remains ongoing, the Navy chief said. Defence minister Rajnath Singh later praised the mission as a powerful example of civil–military coordination, lauding administrative officers for supporting the Armed Forces through swift information-sharing and nationwide preparedness drills.
