'Big Mistake': France refuses to approve NATO's Asia office plans amid Ukraine war | Watch

NATO's Asia expansion plan has left the bloc divided and member state France fuming. The French president has "refused to approve" a scheme to open a NATO liaison office in Japan, arguing the bloc should not extend itself beyond the North Atlantic. The fiction over Asia plans come at a time when the U.S. is trying to woo India into joining NATO+. However, the Indian government has not entertained the U.S. offer yet. Another Asian giant, China, meanwhile, has warned the U.S. against its Asia plans and said that "a NATO-like bloc in Asia will lead to a whirlpool of conflict."
