Updated on Oct 25, 2025 12:29 am IST

China’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Fu Cong, urged all parties to honor the Gaza ceasefire and work toward “a comprehensive, lasting peace.” Speaking at the UN Security Council, Fu welcomed the recent truce and humanitarian breakthroughs but warned that ceasefire violations and civilian casualties continue to threaten progress. He called on Israel to fulfill its obligations under international humanitarian law, open all crossings, ensure safe delivery of humanitarian supplies, and lift restrictions on UNRWA and other aid agencies operating in Gaza.
