'Clumsy': Biden admits mistake in meeting with Macron over AUKUS submarine deal

- Joe Biden, President of the United States of America, met his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, in Italy's Rome, on the sidelines of the G20 summit. This was the first physical meeting between the two after the recent spat over a submarine deal with Australia. The latter cancelled a deal with France to opt for a nuclear-powered submarine pact with the US and the UK, leading to formation of the AUKUS grouping.
