The UAE reportedly carried out direct but unacknowledged military strikes on Iran during the recent war, according to a Wall Street Journal report cited by Reuters and other follow-up coverage. The report says Abu Dhabi became an active combatant after coming under Iranian attack, with one of the alleged strikes targeting a refinery on Iran’s Lavan Island in the Persian Gulf.
