Gaza: 2 Hostages Died When IDF Was Attacking Khan Younis; Deaths Confirmed As Netanyahu Flies To US

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the deaths of two hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. Alex Dancyg, 75 and Yagev Buchshtav, 35, were both abducted on October 7, 2023. The IDF disclosed on Monday that both hostages had died several months ago while in captivity in Khan Younis, where IDF operations were ongoing from December 1 to April 7, 2024. The Israeli military did not specify the circumstances of their deaths, citing an ongoing investigation, though some reports suggest they may have been mistakenly killed during IDF operations.
