In just 5 days, China makes huge progress in building nuclear supercarrier: Taiwan invasion soon?

China is reportedly accelerating construction of its first nuclear-powered supercarrier, widely referred to as the Type 004, as Beijing continues its rapid naval expansion amid growing tensions over Taiwan. Recent reports claim three flight-deck sections were installed within just five days, highlighting the speed of the massive shipbuilding effort. If completed at the reported size of up to 339 metres and around 110,000 tons, the carrier could rival or surpass America’s largest aircraft carriers in scale. The development is fueling debate over China’s growing maritime power, its strategic ambitions in the Indo-Pacific, and whether its expanding carrier fleet could increase pressure on Taiwan.
