Amid reports of persisting tension in Kyrgyzstan, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi made an appeal to India's foreign minister S. Jaishankar. Owaisi shared a video on social media site X (formerly Twitter), which purportedly showed an Indian student in Kyrgyzstan calling up the embassy for help. Owaisi added that a student had told him that they had not eaten in 5 days. Kyrgyzstan has been gripped by a volatile atmosphere following a brawl between foreign and local students at a hostel on May 13. The incident was viewed as a breach of hospitality by many locals, leading to further tension. The Indian government had recently asked Indians in Kyrgyzstan to stay indoors. There were reports of some Pakistani students being injured in the mob violence. Watch the full video for more.
