Iran has strongly accused the United States and Israel of carrying out strikes on civilian areas during the ongoing war, with Tehran raising the issue at the United Nations. Iran’s UN ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani said that more than 1,300 civilians have been killed and nearly 10,000 civilian sites destroyed since the military campaign began in late February. According to the envoy, the damaged sites include thousands of homes, commercial buildings, medical facilities, schools, Red Crescent buildings, and energy infrastructure across Iran.
