Iran President Poll: Surprise Finalist Against Khamenei Loyalist In 2nd Round | Pezeshkian Vs Jalili

Iran Presidential elections have thrown up surprising results. Among the six candidates, no one received a clear majority and the two candidates will now lock horns in a runoff. Interestingly, the two candidates have contrasting views – a hardliner and a reformist. Masoud Pezeshkian, a moderate and Saeed Jalili, an ultraconservative, are the two finalists to replace Ebrahim Raisi who died in a chopper crash last month. Raisi’s death had triggered the snap elections.
