Iran restricts IAEA access, urges security council approval for inspections

Iran has issued a strong statement suggesting it is reevaluating its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) amid deepening tensions with the United States and Israel. Esmaeil Baqaei, spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, said recent US admissions of involvement in Israeli attacks against Iran would serve as evidence in Tehran’s efforts to pursue international legal action. He confirmed that Iranian authorities now require Supreme National Security Council approval before allowing IAEA inspections, emphasizing that recent military aggression has changed the terms of cooperation.
