Is Taiwan conflict coming? After Iran war, US sets up secret weapons base in Australia

The United States is reportedly preparing to establish a permanent stockpile of battle-ready weapons in Australia as part of its expanding military posture in the Indo-Pacific region. According to tender documents cited by AFP, the U.S. Navy has allocated funding to develop warehouses and infrastructure at the Bandiana military base in Victoria, with the facility expected to become operational by 2028. The move is part of broader efforts to preposition military equipment across the region, including a planned site in the Philippines. While Washington says the initiative supports regional stability and rapid response capabilities, China has strongly criticised the expansion, calling it a return to Cold War-style confrontation.
