Israel reportedly struck deeper into the Syrian coastal town of Baniyas in the early hours of March 1. Syrian sources claimed in unconfirmed reports that several Iranian revolutionary guard corps officials were killed in Israel's fresh strike. The Syrian Observatory of Human Rights reported, citing eyewitnesses, that three large explosions occurred in close succession in Baniyas.
