Several Russian media outlets have reported alleged kidnapping of civilians amid Ukraine's ongoing attack in the Kursk region. On August 18, RT released videos purportedly showing Russian civilians being forcibly removed from their homes and loaded into trucks, an incident believed to have occurred in Goncharovka, about 8 km from the border. Captured Ukrainian soldiers reportedly confessed to transporting civilians, with at least three confirmed as non-combatants.
