Pentagon briefing: In 1st Q&A session after Iran strikes, Hegseth drops details

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on June 22, delivered a briefing following the U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, describing the operation as a “remarkable and decisive triumph”. Hegseth said the mission required months of meticulous preparation. Hegseth announced that the strikes, which targeted Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan using 14 bunker-buster bombs, more than two dozen Tomahawk missiles, and over 125 military aircraft, had “obliterated Iran’s nuclear ambitions” without targeting Iranian troops or civilians.
