Russia's First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, has said that the purpose of 'Zelensky's gamble in Kursk region' was to draw the United States and NATO into the 'direct conflict with Russia'. Russia's first deputy UN envoy went on to say that despite the AFU's breakthrough in the Kursk region, the pace of the Russian troops' advance in the combat zone on Ukrainian territory had increased. He added that the initial aim of the incursion was to seize the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant and try to blackmail Russia with its seizure.
